HP Cartridges
HP make fine printers, they have great build quality and they last for a very long time. This is great news considering the prices that HP are currently selling their range of printers at, especially the low-end consumer oriented inkjet printers. Many of the packages now offered in stores and online will now include an HP printer, so if you don't have one now there's a fairly good chance you'll have one at some stage in the future.
HP actually don't generate much positive revenue from their sales of printers, in other words their printer manufacturing division doesn't really earn them much net profit. Instead, HP have a strategy of selling as many printers as they can and then generating profits from the sale of OEM HP cartridges, hence the low cost of buying an HP printer.
The bad news is that buying an original HP cartridge is expensive. The good news for you is that you can buy HP cartridges that are compatible, in other words, they have been manufactured by a third party company to work with HP printers.
So why buy a compatible HP cartridge over one of the more expensive OEM cartridges? You pay for what you get, right? Not exactly. Compatible ink cartridges are manufactured to the same high standards, but because they do not bear the HP logo they cost less. They still provide the same print quality and last just as long, if not longer!
So the next time you have to go and buy some new printer supplies ask yourself; why should I spend so much on these expensive OEM ink cartridges when I could buy a cheaper compatible HP cartridge instead?
